Todays session gave me the opportunity to discuss the direction of the perform unit, peer assessment and critical feedback was given. Here are the key consideration from the session;
- What method will I use to generating Ideas for applying my skills to create a product that addresses the issue around dressing for autistic people.
- Will I create a garment or a fabric that will benefit user?
- How do I eliminating ideas that are not viable within the time frame, reflect back build and practice, what can be learnt from what went before?
- Will I use the distraction technique approach that was explored within practice? can I use this process and apply this to a new product?
- How will I visualise and communicate my ideas? web, CAD, video, sketchbook or portfolio.

Part two of the group critique, peers in the group are concentrating on individual projects, branding was discussed, giving me a different thought pattern to yesterdays session.
- What is my product and how does it define what I do as a designer?
- What equipment and workshops are needed to produce surface and do I have access to them.
- What is the cost of materials, how will this be funded.
- Taking an IDEO approach to emphatic design, who will I need to gain knowledge from in the field of autism and clothing.
- Garment construction is one of my strengths, creating luxury products enables my product be timeless, we are talking about such a niche market, is this a USP?
- Generating a brand name? Who does this well will be researched, all markets.
- What is already on the market? how is this packaged, promoted and is there any extras offered (customer experience?).
- A critical Path is needed for time management, efficient in planning and the generate of key deadline dates.
- What ethics will need to be considered, how will I reach out to my lead user?
- What methodological approach will I take to underpin and validate my ideas, processes and product through literature, can this be adopted from Build?
- How can I use my taset knowledge to define my product?
